Pumpkin Latte

Make this delicious Autumn latte with any one of the Gourmesso coffee capsules.

Preparation time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients:

For the syrup:
3/4 cup sugar coffee
3/4 cup water coffee
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp cinnamon (ground)
7 cloves pieces
2 tsp allspice (ground)
1/4 tsp nutmeg (freshly ground)
1/4 tsp Ginger (ground)
2 heaped tablespoons mashed pumpkin (= 1 small coffee cup diced pumpkin)
1 vanilla pod

For the café latte:
Brewed Double espresso
1/4 cup Hot milk
1/4 cup Whipping Cream
Pinch of Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Cocoa Powder to garnish


Preparation:

Syrup

Cook the pumpkin over medium heated pan until it is soft (it will take between 5 to 10 minutes depending on the pumpkin size). Once the pumpkin is soft enough you can easily mash it with a fork. Mix the vanilla pod with the remaining ingredients, add to the mashed pumpkin and simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring constantly. Do not let the syrup cool down in the pot. Pour into a mason jar or similar.

Cafe Latte

Beat the cream until stiff and pour into a café latte glass. Heat milk in a saucepan set over medium-low heat. Whisk briskly with a wire whisk to create foam. Brew a double shot of espresso, and add to the café latte glass. Pour in milk, holding back the foam with a spoon. Add 2-4 tsp of the Pumpkin Spice Syrup and stir well. Finally garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with a mixture of grated nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa.
